Comments          : MISSING 40’ GAFF KETCH THE “LILLY-OH-LA-LAH”
To All yachts in the Bahamas, T&C, Dominican Republic, Virgins :
Has any one seen, heard or know anything about the yacht and crew of The Lilly-oh-la-lah
and can anybody please put me in touch with the yacht BADERIO and or WINDSTAR 4 cruising
in those waters.
Description: the Lilly-oh-la-lah, 40’ Gaff Ketch, wooden spars, white hull with green stripe
along the hull shearline, possibly New Jersey Reg Number painted in white on
the green stripe, could be under American or British flag, crew/owner Kenny
Jackson of Guernsey, Channel Islands and with black cat answering to the name
“Buddy”. Yacht is equipped with VHF.
Kenny has uncharacteristically not been in contact with family or friends since leaving
Charleston SC single-handed with cat on March 23, 2009 bound for Nassau Bahamas islands.
It is not certain that they made a successful land fall in the Bahamas.
Lack of contact has us quite concerned.
Inquiries were made to the Bahamian authorities which produced possible
unconfirmed visual sighting (s) by the yacht BADERIO and WINDSTAR 4
around the time of a presumptive landfall April 1 and a few days later. No record of
check in. This sighting information is quite tenuous and may well be in error due to its
third party nature and other factors.
Any information that puts us in touch with BADERIO or WINDSTAR 4 or provides us
with a solid indication that the Lilly-oh-la-lah made landfall would be appreciated beyond
measure by his family and friends who are quite worried, considering the amount of time
passed with no contact.
